PHOTOS OF DEVELOPMENT PIECES

Finally got around to photographing my development pieces properly on a white background, I'll print these out and put these ones in my book. I also had a little fiddle on photoshop just to get the colours right.

ROYAL WEDDING

I know my posts have been rather short on the ground this month, mainly because we have just had half-term and I have been catching up on sketchbook work rather than completing any new pieces, as well as working on English coursework, but I thought today deserved an extra special post! I have been baking and in true Hannah-fashion, they are Royal Wedding themed! I thought the ceremony this morning was lovely and Kate's dress was beautiful; simple and understated yet classy and fashionable. I hope everyone is enjoying their day- all the street parties! We are having a BBQ later to celebrate (as we don't have enough neighbours for a street party- unless we invite the sheep!). Have a fabulous day and enjoy the sun this Bank Holiday weekend!

DANDELION

Just a quick post as the weather here at the moment is beautiful and I want to be out in it as much as possible before I really have to start revising for my A Levels and before the rain sets in. As it has been so sunny recently (and a bit humid) the garden has exploded and, unfortunately, so have the weeds! Our back garden and the hedgerows are full of dandelion's and although they are a bit of a pain when they spring up in the garden, I think they do brighten up the hedgerows and road edges now that the daffodils have died down. So enjoy these pesky flowers while they last!

PHEW!

Well I have spend today altering jeans and tops and decorating a cotton shopping bag, which I am very pleased with. The jeans were for a friend, she wanted them turning into shorts and they turned out really well- no problem. The top was one of mine, I didn't like the sleeves so they came off and I think it looks better for it and then I just fancied decorating my boring college tote shopper. I am really happy with the final outcome, I love the roses and the detail such as the leaves and no bag in my opinion, for a girl, would be complete without a cupcake and teapot! What do you think? Any feedback would be welcome! I think I might start making these as birthday presents for friends, hopefully people would like them!

LOOK AT THE CHUBBY LAMBS!

It's been a while now since I last posted some pictures of the sheep in the local fields and as you can see from these quick pics, they don't stay small for long! They are starting to get to that lovely chubby/fluffy stage, not quite adults but not a little spindly legged-wide eyed lamb anymore.

FINALLY!

I finally got around to photographing some of my development pieces, now that they are finally finished. I just added some buttons, sewed a little bit and poured some wax onto them. Feel free to have a look at previous posts (14th and 21st March 2011) to see the alterations I have made if you like. Enjoy!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Just a little card I whipped up for my mother on mothering Sunday. I bought her some silicone cup-cake cases as her little present (as well as flowers) as she loves baking, it runs in the family! We know have a set of 24 silicone cases which is fab because they are really easy to use and in out house we rarely make a batch of 12 because they literally last two days! I used a few old recipes and scraps of music, left over from this project and a few other bits and bats, as you can see. Hope you all enjoyed treating your mums' and were out and about in the beautiful weather we had yesterday!

EDITED AT LAST

I have got around to editing a few of my recent pictures, not much just tweaking and improving the colour levels and so on. Hope you like them! Back to more stitching soon, in case you are getting tired of my photographs. :)
